Home Remedies For Jock Itch

Some of the effective home remedies for Jock Itch are

  • Apple Cider Vinegar

Rich in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds, apple cider vinegar also has drying qualities and anti-fungal properties, making it an ideal solution. Simply dilute the vinegar with water and use a washcloth to gently apply the mixture to the affected areas. Do this 2-3 per day for best effects, until the symptoms disappear.

  • Onion Juice

This highly concentrated onion juice has sulfuric compounds and other antioxidants that can quickly kill fungal infections and prevent inflammation. Gently apply this juice to the sensitive area with a washcloth, but dilute it with water, as it can cause additional inflammation or irritation.

  • Salt Bath

A saltwater bath is one of the easiest ways to resolve jock itch. Salt helps control the growth of the fungus and will help the infection heal quickly. It can also be effective in treating boils and blisters. You can use Epsom salts, bath salts or just table salt.

  • Honey

The antiseptic, antifungal and soothing properties of honey can be of great help in getting rid of jock itch. Manuka honey, in particular, is excellent for fungal infections causing jock itch, nail fungus or ringworm.

Apply pure honey, preferably manuka honey, on the affected area and leave it on for at least 30 minutes. Wash it off and pat dry the area thoroughly. Do this once or twice daily until the infection clears.
